

In the recent
Mid-American Wine Competition held at Des Moines Area Community
College, Crofut Family Winery and Vineyard received 1 silver
and 1 bronze medal. The competition was held July 11-13 and open to
14 states of the Midwest. Over 640 wines were entered by 112
different wineries.
“The quality of the
wines from the Midwest was very impressive” commented lead judge
Doug Frost of Kansas City. He noted, “It conclusively demonstrated
that the Midwest is making top notch wines.”
Crofut Winery earned a
Silver medal for our 2007 La Crescent Sweet (new this year) and a
Bronze medal for our 2007 La Crescent White. See our 2008 placements
