Michael Godard Visits the Vineyard
Michael Godard, America's best selling artist, was at the Crofut Family Vineyard one Saturday morning, painting the bucolic scene with trademark Godard humor. Godard has found great artistic success painting man's vices. His website has sections devoted to wine, cigars, martinis, and more. In 2006 Godard's life story, "Don't Drink and Draw", garnered Art Book of the Year and remains a top seller at Barnes and Noble. This "bad boy of the brushes" is taking advantage of the extra publicity these days, and embarking on a fundraising mission. Godard took a break from the art world in 2006 to spend more time with his daughter, Paige. On November 6, 2006, Paige passed away after a long battle with brain cancer. Now, after a year-long absence, Michael Godard is back and gathering more attention than ever. "I feel like I have just been reborn," Godard said. Godard is currently working on a project to raise up to 60 million dollars for cancer research in memory of his daughter Paige. "I still have so much to be thankful for," Godard said. "I have to thank all the galleries and the fans out there that supported me while I was M.I.A. I could not have done it without you. I have a new focus now, and I am painting with a purpose, so fasten your seatbelts because Godard is back." Learn more about Michael Godard's work at www.MichaelGodard.com.
