Grape Stomp
2010
September 18-19, 2010
Online registrations for the 2010 Grape Stomp begin August 1 and fill up
quickly. Mark your calendar!
Thanks
to all who attended our Grape Stomp Festival! We raised over 1,250 pounds of
food for the Scott Carver CAP Agency Food Shelf.
Cities 97 morning hosts BT and Lee (right) joined us on
Saturday, September 19 from 3-6 pm.
The winery came alive with excitement this past September as we celebrated the harvest of the grapes! We had an
Artisan MarketPlace filled with
antiques, crafts, and food vendors as well as artists, wine and gift
items, and our famous specialty chocolates. Cousin Alan from
Unbridled Chocolates mixed up his version of Minnesota mousse.
(Thanks, cuz!)

WASTE NOT, WANT NOT (A "FOOT" NOTE) |
|
While not a purely organic farm, the Crofut Winery does maintain a
compost pile where we dispose of all organic remains from the
wine-making process. The compost makes a wonderful fertilizer for
our vines each spring. We should also mention that all grapes and
juice from our annual Grape Stomp harvest festival go into the
compost pile at day's end. The grapes you stomp DO contribute to
future wines, but no feet are used in our actual wine-making
process.
